A weekly meeting to discuss in detail cases operated the previous week. Emphasis is placed on diagnosis and treatment planning.

Combined Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Orthodontics Seminar

A weekly combined conference during which pertinent topics dealing with orthognathic surgical cases are presented and discussed in order to arrive at the correct diagnosis and treatment plan.

Oral Pathology Clinical Conference

Staffed by the Department of Oral Pathology This weekly course allows residents to identify unknown pathological lesions, discuss their etiology and clinical features, and determine appropriate therapy.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Medicine Conference

A weekly meeting in which residents present and lead discussions on current topics involving basic oral and maxillofacial surgery and medicine.

Oral and Maxillofacial Grand Rounds

A weekly session during which guest speakers present lectures on a variety of topics.

Journal club

A monthly conference to keep residents informed about the latest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery, trauma, general medicine, pathology, anesthesia, and the basic biomedical sciences.

Head and neck anatomy

A yearly course given by the Department of Anatomy in the School of Medicine, in which lectures and dissection provide third year residents with a review of basic anatomy.
